Convergence, located in the back of Shop Good, is excited to host Oklahoma’s own Mid Del Art Guild! This team of artists whose work permeates virtually all mediums from watercolor to oil, and embraces all styles from abstract to realism, will be displaying their work for the public to enjoy. And up front, visitors can explore the unique products Shop Good has to offer along with the knowledge that all their purchases ensure donations to various charities around the world! http://mid-delartguild.org/gallery.htm
Be sure to stop by Bad Granny’s Bazaar to hear live music by The Judges, starting at 9 pm. Between the live music and the array of thrift store oddities, there is enough fun to get lost there for hours.
Artist Brooke Rowlands will be featuring her work at DNA Galleries. This is a must-see collection; her paintings are beautifully experimental, a modern twist on the simplicity and serenity offered by floral and landscape scenes. Aside from the featured artist, visitors are of course free to roam the various other works available at the gallery.
Coffy’s Café is hosting an open-mic night for all you poets, storytellers, and musicians needing an outlet for your fountain of creativity! Stop in for gluten-free treats or tasty drinks, and feel free to use the array of instruments provided in-store for the public to enjoy.
The Velvet Monkey will be displaying work by aspiring young artist Heather Slate, which includes paintings, drawings, portraits, and more. Visitors will be free to roam the array of vintage clothing, magazines, and various cool little trinkets located in the back as well. To see a sample of Heathers work, visit www.HeatherSlate.net .
For the dog lovers, Hounds of the Heartland and Homeward Bound Pug Rescue will be setting up ‘Rescue Corner’ on 16th St & Blackwelder. Visitors are invited to come and meet the dogs and learn about the process that goes into rescuing, rehabilitating, and adopting dogs. More information is available at http://www.homewardboundpugs.com/ and http://www.greyhoundpetsok.org/
Throat dry? Stomach growling? Then stop by the Pops 66 truck to sample their legendary array of sodas, or grab a tasty burger and some fries.
Juju Gallery will be featuring a night with the art of Custom Cranium, an equally bizarre and intriguing collection of handmade oddities. Not for the faint of heart, these carefully crafted pieces are a must-see-to-believe! They truly are the strangest, most unique eclectic handmade goods around. There’s no telling what could show up, so don’t miss it! And as usual, guests are always welcome to roam the gallery for anything else they might enjoy. http://www.etsy.com/shop/deadthingsgrrl
Midwest Media & Marketing is excited to host artist Jerrod Smith, a local artist whose multiple styles pepper the continuum between printing, painting, and anything in between. Smith’s collection of mixed media work expresses personal thoughts and his everyday life through pre-existing images of past generations. Be sure not to miss this unique collection from this Oklahoman artist. http://jerrodcreates.com/gallery/
